THE “ORANGE IS ROTTEN”: MARCUS GOODWIN SLAMS VINCENT ORANGE’S CANDIDACY
INSISTS VOTERS DEMAND SOMEONE WHO WILL FIGHT FOR REAL CHANGE
Washington, DC –Two days ago, former Councilmember Vincent Orange filed to appear on the ballot for DC Council At Large.
“DC voters have made it clear; they do not want corrupt career politicians representing the
District of Columbia,” Marcus Goodwin said. “I have been marching with protestors for weeks to demand justice and expand opportunities for DC residents who are too often left behind. I’m running for the DC Council to make sure people in the District have access to the opportunities necessary to get ahead.”
“I’ve spoken to people who know Mr. Orange, and they can’t understand why he’s running. They tell me, the orange is rotten, we need fresh leadership on the DC Council,” Goodwin said. “DC residents want someone who will fight to ensure all Washingtonians have opportunities to get ahead. We have a long way to go to make the American dream attainable for more residents. I am rolling up my sleeves for this fight.”
